About UsWhen Poppy Met Daisy is more than just a fashion design and sewing school—it’s a place where creativity, craftsmanship, and community come together. Founded in 2011 by Lorna Daly, our owner and creative director, the school was inspired by a deep love of sewing passed down from her grandmother, who first taught her to sew and nurtured her creativity. The name When Poppy Met Daisy is a heartfelt tribute to that legacy, named after Lorna’s and her grandmother’s beloved dogs, symbolizing the bond, encouragement, and artistic spirit that shaped her journey.

For over a decade, we’ve been helping students of all levels master their sewing machines, develop their own designs, and bring their creative visions to life. Our classes are taught by trained fashion designers, ensuring expert guidance and hands-on learning in a relaxed, supportive environment. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an aspiring designer, our courses are designed to give you the skills and confidence to create your own unique pieces.

From mastering essential sewing techniques to exploring sustainable fashion and mindful making, When Poppy Met Daisy is here to inspire and support your journey. Join us and discover the joy of sewing, one stitch at a time.

What Our Students Are Saying:

I have been a student at the When Poppy Met Daisy's for 6 months , Lorna's style of giving individual attention rather than teaching in a class room setting is brilliant. After only a few classes I couldn’t believe how much I learned. I never thought that I’d be making my own dresses so quickly! It’s very rewarding and addictive, I’m always thinking of new ideas for what I can make next, plus it's so much fun!
